Fahrenzine (FHZ008) : Pigs Arseholes And The Copper Pan : Tina Jackson
Fahrenzine is a new adventure in publishing brought to you exclusively by Fahrenheit Press.
Each issue features a single short story from one of the most exciting crime fiction talents in the world and is strictly limited to only 100 hand-numbered copies.
Featuring no-nonsense typography and published pamphlet style, Fahrenzine takes inspiration from our old skool punk heritage and pays homage to the pioneering DIY spirit of revolutionary zines like Sniffin Glue, Chainsaw and New York Rocker.
The 8th issue of Fahrenzine (#FHZ008) features Fahrenheit debut author Tina Jackson.
Tina has worked as an award-winning writer and editor specialising in the arts and books for The Big Issue and Metro and her journalism has appeared in many publications including the Guardian, the Observer, the Independent and the Mail on Sunday. She is now Assistant Editor of Writing Magazine
In December 2020 we will be publishing THE BELOVED CHILDREN - Tina's debut novel which charts the lives of dancers Chrysanthemum, Rose & Orage who are thrown together on the stage of Fankes’ Theatre in wartime London performing as The Three Graces. It’s there that they come under the spell of mysterious wardrobe mistresses Dolores and Janna. With its mysticism, fortune tellers, ghosts, a talking Russian bear and its evocative descriptions of wartime London theatreland it genuinely weaves a spell around the reader. The Beloved Children is wise, funny, heart-breaking, joyous, poignant, and entirely entirely enthralling.
We believe that if any Fahrenheit book is ever going to win The Booker Prize it'll be THE BELOVED CHILDREN and not only does PIGS ARSEHOLES AND THE COPPER PAN act as the perfect introduction to some of Tina's characters and the world they inhabit we also think this Fahrenzine will go on to become a collectors item in its own right.
Remember as with all the Fahrenzines, only the 100 people who buy this will ever get to read this story - we anticipate people will be fighting to get their hands on this one so don't hang about.
Only 100 numbered copies have been printed - when they're gone, they're gone
