Fahrenzine is a new adventure in publishing brought to you exclusively by Fahrenheit Press.

Each issue features a single short story from one of the most exciting crime fiction talents in the world and is strictly limited to only 100 hand-numbered copies.

Featuring no-nonsense typography and published pamphlet style, Fahrenzine takes inspiration from our old skool punk heritage and pays homage to the pioneering DIY spirit of revolutionary zines like Sniffin Glue, Chainsaw and New York Rocker.

Every single issue of Fahrenzine we've released has sold out in the blink of an eye - the only place you can find them now is on eBay.

There's been a lot of speculation about who would write Issue No.13 but in the end we felt the Universe would have given us a well-deserved slap if the honour had gone to anyone other than one of the authors from our mighty sister imprint FAHRENHEIT 13.

Cometh the hour, cometh the noir -

Issue FHZ013 of Fahrenzine has been written by none other than  F13's very own noir grizzly ANTHONY NEIL SMITH who has written one of his trademark uncompromisingly dark, brutal, and breathless short stories.

We say 'short' story - the word limit for Fahrenzine is usually 6-8k but TRASH PANDAS weighs in at almost 14k words - it was so great we decided that we'd publish it just as he sent it - after all, Anthony Neil Smith is a Thirteener and outlaws gonna outlaw, right?

TRASH PANDAS follows Jess & Matt, a couple who due to an unfortunate series of events have lost everything, their jobs, their homes, and finally it seems their dignity, as poverty forces them to search in dumpsters for food just to stay alive.

A chance discovery in a dumpster sets them on a different path. If they play it smart they could just have found their ticket back to normality -  play it wrong and things might get even worse.

When Anthony Neil Smith sent us the ms for TRASH PANDAS his email said simply "This is a story I wrote and I don't know what the hell to say about it." - well we have quite a lot to say about it but we wont because we don't want to ruin it for you.

Suffice to say that if you loved SLOW BEAR (Smith's 1st book for Fahrenheit 13) you will absolutely devour this one - we genuinely believe Anthony Neil Smith is one of the very best writers working in crime fiction and we have zero doubt this Fahrenzine is going to very quickly become a collectors item.

Remember as with all the Fahrenzines, only the 100 people who buy this will ever get to read this story - we anticipate people will be fighting to get their hands on this one so don't hang about.

Only 100 numbered copies have been printed - when they're gone, they're gone
